Cool Kids Quitting Facebook ??

Assalamualaikum and Good Day everyone

My first post here, I want to talk and share about the worldwide social networking that getting famous and most people going addicted once they have create the account. World nowadays is about Facebook or called in short as FB. I bet everyone have their Facebook account isn’t it? Hmm, pretty much to say that it’s normal when people prefer to socialize in cyber world.

Do you know the guy in the picture above? Well, this is the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Let me share a little information about this guy: Born on May 14, 1984, in Dobbs Ferry, New York, Mark Zuckerberg co-founded the social-networking website Facebook out of his college dorm room. He left Harvard after his sophomore year to concentrate on the site, the user base of which has grown to over 250 million people, making Zuckerberg a billionaire. The birth of Facebook was recently portrayed in the film The Social Network.

Alright, I have done my reading the article which title is ALL THE COOL KIDS ARE QUITTING FACEBOOK by JENNA WORTHAM. I quite enjoyed reading this article because it is related with the most famous social networking, Facebook. First of all, I agree with what have been written in the article on first paragraph line 9 “One of Facebook’s main selling points is that it builds closer ties among friends and colleagues but some who steer clear of the sites say it can have the opposite effect of making them feel more, not less, alienated“ because usually Facebook causing more problem and distract the student or even workers in their daily activities.

If we think using the left brain side, the statement that successfully issued is about the negative effect the social networking such as Facebook to people like us. Using right brain thinking, function is the part that most people will think about. The second thing that I want to comment is on paragraph 4 in article. It mention about the trusting. I agree with the article because in my opinion, trusting over something or someone will give a good feedback but it also can turn to be others. Trusting is important especially when it relates with privacy. The privacy pitfalls of Facebook make the total of Facebook users decreasing a lot because the users no longer trust with privacy setting of Facebook. The others social networking sites competitors also given the intense competition among each others.

For me as a Facebook user, I already face with three stages of changing format. Seriously, it can be annoyed because as you are already know, Malaysian people not really open with something new. Sometimes when I’m facebooking, I suddenly think why they changing the format? Is it they want to decrease the user of Facebook or allowed the hackers easily can hack the security of Facebook? I’m not trying to think about the new change of Facebook is bad but I do admit sometimes it’s hard for me to accept it.
