Anneyong Haseyong my
beloved readers, Alright let's forward with the next entry shall we? Okay then,
let’s talk about Anology. Do you guys know what is Anology? The definition of
Anology is a comparison between an object and experience or concept. In logic, An
inference that if things agree in some respects, they probably agree in others.
Basically here, Anology is something that everyone familiar with. It was
divided into two parts which Metaphor and Simile.
Other parts also that
contain in Anology are Satire/Parody and Irony/Paradox. Satire/Parody is based
from the story while the irony/Paradox is based about inconsistency.
Let’s discuss about
Irony/Paradox first. As Irony, the inconsistency between what might be expected
to happen and what actually happen especially seems absurd. For this particular
part, my lecturer, Mr.Mark asks everyone of us to come out with our own Irony
words. My Irony stuff from my thinking is:
I
buy a cat food but I don’t have a cat
Simple isn’t it? You guys
also can come out with your own Irony words. Try it! You might have fun for a
moment.
Okay let’s talk about
Paradox. Paradox is a statement or a situation that is true but seems to defy
logic or intuition. The differences between Irony and Paradox are:
Irony
In Irony, the truth about both contradicting
situation are debatable. We could never be sure which one is true and which one
is wrong.
Paradox
In Paradox, the truth is stated directly. In
both contradicting situation, one is true while the other one is false.
Example: this sentence is grammatically incorrect.
