First of all, I would like to share my understanding regarding Euphemism. By the meaning of euphemism is a less offensive or synonym; a word or phrase used in place of a term that might be considered too direct, harsh, unpleasant or offensive.

In Greek, Euphemism known as Euphemizein “Speak with pleasing words”

Let’s go through Euphemistic Language:
·          Euphemistic Language is a word or group of word that are deliberately used in order to evoke a particular kind of response from the readers.

·          It also a word that distort reality and hide the seriousness of any given issue. Plus, Euphemistic word also is a word that are used for disinformation (Lie)

Example of Euphemistic words:
·          Stress Disorder.
·          Bathroom Tissue.

·          Shells chock.

When we replacing a positive or neutral expression with one that is negative or unpleasant, we’re using a Dysphemism.

Why the Euphemistic language exists and common use in our daily life? Simple! We need to care others feeling while pronouncing. For example, we don’t use ‘dead’ or ‘die’ to someone that just leaving us forever. Not to make the family hurt with our words, we’re using ‘passed away’ for the dead person.

Basically, words can be so powerful in reality and it proven especially by the people in communication field. The delivering of information is important to persuade or inform others but yet, there are certain word might consider as dangerous because it might touch someone’s heart and can cause a conflict. The existence of Euphemistic will cover those word or mostly known as ‘Double-meaning’.
